Higher Education Grants of Interest to African-Americans

Here is this week’s news of grants for programs of particular interest to African Americans in higher education.

The University of Wisconsin at Green Bay received a $177,579 grant from the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation for programs to help low-income and minority students in northeastern Wisconsin prepare for college. The grant will fund after-school tutoring programs, parent training in the college admissions process, and courses to help students prepare for the ACT college entrance examination.

Tufts University‘s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy received a $7.3 million grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development to improve child nutrition in Ethiopia.

In Memoriam: Norman B. Anderson, 1955-2024
