Bowie State Selects a New Dean

Bowie State University in Maryland has announced the appointment of Jerome H. Schiele as its new dean of the College of Professional Studies. He began his new duties this week.

Dr. Schiele is the former associate dean of the School of Social Work at the University of Georgia. He has also held administrative posts at Clark Atlanta University, Norfolk State University, Morgan State University, and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Dr. Schiele is a graduate of Hampton University in Virginia. He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in social work from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
