Nineteen African Americans Admitted Early to Williams College

Williams College, the highly rated liberal arts college in Williamstown, Massachusetts, has announced that it admitted 239 students from the early decision pool. This is about 43 percent of the expected number of students in the Class of 2016 that will enter in the fall of 2012.

Of the students admitted early, 19 are African Americans. Thus, Blacks make up nearly 8 percent of all students who were admitted early. Blacks are 12.4 percent of the current first-year class at Williams.
