New All-Star Game Will Feature Basketball Players Only From HBCUs

A new all-star basketball game for players at historically Black colleges and universities will be played for the first time at Forbes Arena on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta on April 6, 2012. The HBCU All-Star Game will provide a showcase for student athletes at Black colleges to display their talents for scouts from the National Basketball Association and other professional leagues around the world.

Twenty-two players will be selected to participate in the all-star game. In addition to the game, players will participate in a three-day talent showcase for professional scouts.

  1. There is a lot of talent at the HBCU’s in all academic fields.
    The HBCU new all star game is just another venue for Black ballplayers to showcase their talents that may have been overlooked or underappreciated by the scouts of various NBA teams.
