New Leadership at CAARP

The Center for African American Research and Policy (CAARP) states that its mission  “is to engage in scholarly research in order to advance critical discourse and promote informed decisions as it pertains to policy issues confronting African Americans in both the academy and the society at-large.” The group publishes the Journal of the Professoriate and The Journal for Black Technology Interaction.

Adriel Hilton

Recently, the center introduced a new leadership team. Adriel A. Hilton was named director of the CAARP and T. Kenyatta Jones was appointed deputy director.

T. Kenyatta Jones

Dr. Hilton is executive assistant to the president and chief diversity officer at Upper Iowa University. A graduate of Morehouse College, he earned a master’s degree at Florida A&M University and a doctorate at Morgan State University.

Dr. Jones is an educational consultant and co-editor of the Journal of African American Males in Education. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degree from Sacramento State University and doctorate in urban education from the University of California at Los Angeles.
