Professor Who Claimed Black Women Are Less Attractive Is Disciplined

Satoshi Kanazawa, the evolutionary psychologist at the London School of Economics, who earlier this year created a huge controversy by claiming to have scientific evidence that black women were not as physically attractive as women of other races, has issued an apology. In May, Kanazawa published a blog entry entitled, “Why are black women less physically attractive than other women?” In this post he claimed that black women had higher levels of testosterone and therefore had more masculine features which made them unattractive.

An internal investigation conducted by the London School of Economics found that Kanazawa “ignored the basic responsibility of a scientific communicator to qualify claims made in proportion to the certainty of the evidence.” In a statement, Kanazawa stated, “Some of my arguments may have been flawed and not supported by the available evidence.”

The school barred Kanazawa from publishing in non-peer-reviewed publications for one year and will not permit him to teach compulsory courses during the current academic year.

      • It’s not the truth though. That’s why he was forced to apologize. He had no evidence either of Black women having more “testosterone”. Have you seen the way women of other races look at age 55, the ones who don’t take care of themselves? Beauty is all about taking care of oneself, maintaining a decent weight, nice hair. I’ve seen plenty of overweight and ugly faced heifers in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and they weren’t Black.

  1. That’s funny b/c I always thought that Asian men aren’t as attractive as men of other races. I guess it’s their feminine features.

      • I mean I am a kpop fan and I can admit some idols have feminine features and sometimes it can be because of makeup and the beauty standards are weird for foreigners so around the world it’s different

    • Hey Kat your a stupid redneck, so of course your not attracted to asians. Too bad asians are considered more attractive than whites in Asian countries and asians make up majority of the entire world’s population. So your as stupid as you are white.

      • Hey Hicks. Your a redneck yourself. In european countries Asians – especially the men – arent considered as very attractive so your compare to asian countries is pointless. Your last sentence expresses you as a racist as well. Grow up,dude.

      • Lol it’s hard to take you seriously Hicks. Before calling someone stupid, learn the correct “you’re” to use. You meant to say YOU’RE stupid, not “your” stupid.

  2. Clearly this is someone who is seeking attention. At his age, he has to have gone past a mirror or window. So sad. I wonder what sister wouldn’t go out with him.

  3. Don’t we have more important things to research? We are a society too focused on appearance as it is. Is academia becoming as trivial as the rest of society?

    Who funded this research anyway?

  4. He is entitled to his opinion that black women are not physically attractive. The fact he has evidence to prove it angers you? Too bad. Mo woman with aggressive attitudes and abusive behavior are not attractive. People who are offended by reality need to stop trying to impose their ideas on others and just let them be.

    • He is indeed entitled to his own opinion, but him saying that Black women are less attractive so matter-of-factually as a study isn’t appropriate nor beneficial for him. Your mind is filled with stereotypes that Black women are all aggressive and have attitudes, and the vast majority of Black women aren’t like that, it’s just that the media portrays them to be that way. You’re thinking that all Black women are African-American women from the hood who are ratchet. Him insulting a whole group of women in that way isn’t really an opinion, but if he were to have said he found Black women to be the least attractive in his own opinion, not as “scientific evidence”, then that would be an opinion.

      • He does not need to make a statement about “all black women” in order to be justified in making a general assertion of the kind which he did. Just like it’s a fact that crime rates per capita are much higher among black males than white males, yet this is not automatically an assertion about all black men. Statistical trends don’t need to be absolute in order to be noteworthy.

    • People are so obsessed with black women if you don’t like black women are don’t find the attractive keep the name out ur mouth. We can’t be to unattractive if other races pay to get our features. LAST time I checked Asian man are at the bottom of the list try again.

  5. MY opinion is that black women are attractive!! That thing you just posted is NOT NICE AT ALL! Some people must be seeing this too, and it just broke their hearts, EVEN MINE!!! I’m sorry professer guy, but that claim just didn’t make my day!

  6. untrue..majority of black women wear weave(straight hair) which is not your biological feature-thus also paying for someone else’s feature. and before you try to say im racist..im a person of color. thx

  7. True to this day and age of political correctness, the man gets punished for making sense of his opinion. You don’t dare speak the truth as you see it anymore welcome to 1984 where black women can only be viewed as attractive no matter how anyone else might perceive them.

  8. He had no evidence to back up his claim about black women having higher testosterone. The issue was not about his “personal opinion”. It was about the fact that he tried to pass off his negative opinion about black women as a fact. I saw a lot of studies that showcased the opposite of his claim. Those studies revealed that the collective of black women actually have higher estrogen levels and lower testosterone levels than the collective of white women. With that being said, I’m not trying to make it a competition. I’m just tired of people being so comfortable attacking us black women.

  9. You folks who are supporting this man do realize you are commenting on an article in the Journal for BLACKS in Higher Education, right??? Shouldn’t be too surprised….you basically feel free to leave your hate wherever like anyway…..

Lingering Mistrust From Tuskegee Syphilis Study Connected to COVID-19 Vaccine Reluctance

African Americans who lived within 750 miles of Tuskegee, Alabama, were more reluctant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine than their White neighbors, as well as Black Americans from other United States regions. The authors attribute this finding to lingering mistrust of public health services as a result of the Tuskegee Syphilis Study which ran from the 1930s to 1972.
