Award

• Chuck Stone, who retired as Walter Spearman Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005, will be honored with the Helen Thomas Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. The award will be given at the society’s annual convention in Washington next month.
