Appointments

• Antoine M. Garibaldi, president of Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, was elected chair of the board of directors of the Council of Independent Colleges. As chair he will represent the 550-member association on the board of directors of the American Council on Education.

• Bettye Young-Stewart was named assistant director for operations and compliance at the Sebastian Health Center on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University. She has been serving in the post as interim director.

Young-Stewart is a graduate of Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She holds a master’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University.
