New Student Group at Cornell to Tackle Racism

Inspired by the Academy Award-winning best picture Crash, which confronts racism in American society, students at Cornell University formed Challenging Racism and Systems of Hierarchy (CRASH) to confront racism on campus and in the surrounding community. According to the group’s mission statement, CRASH “acts in solidarity with socially marginalized people who experience social dehumanization. We are committed to confronting institutionalized inequality, oppression, and hierarchy on all levels.”

CRASH is calling on the Cornell administration to include a diversity requirement within the curriculum.
