University of Missouri Establishes Online Hate Crime Reporting System

Students at the University of Missouri can now access a Web site where they can anonymously report hate crimes or other bias-related incidents on campus. Victims of or witnesses to hate crimes are encouraged to use the site. The university is now working to make students more aware of the site and encouraging them to use it if a bias incident occurs.

According to the university police force, there have been no hate crimes on campus since 2004. There are more than 21,000 undergraduate students on campus, 6 percent of whom are black.
