Black College Establishes Five-Year, Dual-Degree Program in Mathematics and Engineering
Bethune-Cookman College, the historically black educational institution in Daytona Beach, Florida, has entered into a unique agreement with the University of South Florida in Tampa. Under the arrangement, students can spend their first three years at Bethune-Cookman College studying mathematics. They will then transfer to the College of Engineering at the University of South Florida for a two-year engineering program. At the conclusion of the five-year undergraduate program, students will receive a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Bethune-Cookman College and a second bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of South Florida.
