Appointments

Louis L. Cregler was named dean of the College of Medicine at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. He was professor of medicine and deputy dean for academic affairs at the City University of New York Medical School. He received his medical training at the SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn.

James D. Montgomery Sr. was appointed by Governor Bob Riley to the board of trustees of Alabama A&M University. Montgomery is an alumnus of the university. He served in the U.S. Army for 25 years and currently runs a small business in Anniston, Alabama.

Eric Troy was named director of the Bell National Resource Center on the African-American Male at Ohio State University. He was program manager for the Office of Minority Affairs at Ohio State. A graduate of Morehouse College, Troy holds a master’s degree in sports management from Ohio State.
