The New President of Community College of Allegheny County

Alex Johnson, who was chancellor of Delgado Community College in New Orleans, was named president of the Community College of Allegheny County, which operates 10 campuses in and around Pittsburgh. Blacks make up 15 percent of the 18,000-member student body at the two-year college.

Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University. He holds a master’s degree from Lehman College and an educational doctorate from Penn State University.
