Jerlando Jackson Appointed to Named Professorship at the University of Wisconsin

Jerlando F.L. Jackson was named the Vilas Professor of Higher Education at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He also serves as the coordinator for the Higher, Postsecondary, and Continuing Education Program at the university. In addition, he is the founder and director of the Wisconsin Equity and Inclusion Laboratory

Jackson is the author or co-author of several books including Introduction to American Higher Education (Routledge, 2010) and Ethnic and Racial Administrative Diversity: Understanding Work Life Realities and Experiences in Higher Education (Jossey Bass, 2009).

Dr. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He holds a master’s degree from Auburn University and a doctorate from Iowa State University.
